As a complement to our maintenance business, we develop and produce our own accessories for John Deeres machines.
The collaboration between Mikab and John Deere began in 2020 and in early 2021 the first accessories were produced. Before that, various accessories were created on behalf of our customers locally in our catchment area with the tools available at the time.
At the beginning of 2021, it was invested in a 2500 x 1250 mm plasma cutting table and an edge press of 60 tons, after which a deburring machine was invested in that removes slag from the plate cut out from the plasma cutter.
The range at the start of the collaboration was 6-7 products, today we have 18 products and we are constantly looking at new solutions and improving our existing ones.
The collaboration with John Deere works very well, we get access to blueprints and the collaboration with John Deere technicians and product department is good. The new products that are manufactured are developed in a prototype phase and are well tested and since we have the vast majority of machine models close to us, the test work is very much easier for us. Our goal and ambition is that they should be well tested look aesthetically good and of course meet the needs they are intended for.
